Welcome to my blog :-)

Hi there, my name is Leanne and I want to lose weight. And I want to do it without counting points or calories or weighing anything. I want to diet in the most natural way possible (you know, so I don't get depressed/get sick of calculating/get bored/feel hard done by) and with the healthiest foods possible too. So I'm going to try and steer clear of tacky low cal treats full of sweeteners, and go instead for wholefood superfood health-tastic supercharging menus.

One of my favourite novels - Jitterbug perfume - has two lovers in it who live forever by eating beetroot. There's a part of me that wants to believe that - beetroot is a superfood - it must be, look at the colour of it! I'm hugely foodie and it's always important to me when dieting that I don't have to sacrifice my love of growing, preparing, cooking and eating great food. I don't have an immense understanding of nutritional aspects but if a vegetable is colourful to me, it must be good.

So my goals are thus: I need to lose about a stone and 4lb. Just over a dress size. I want to tone up and be more smooth all over. I should mention that I am still breastfeeding my 15 month old Sam - but only at bedtime now. I don't really know what impact (if any) this has on weight loss but will be stopping the bedtime feed in about 2 months from now so we'll see!

More exercise is definitely required - more and better dogwalks, swimming and toning up. As is the drinking of MUCH more water. I'm going to be very brave and post some pictures of myself now so that hopefully we can start to see a different very soon. I'm massively inspired by this blogger:

http://www.jagsfitnessblog.com/

her results are absolutely amazing, and it was her blog that inspired me to start my own.

So that's it for my first post :-)

  1. Will be keeping an eye on this as I'd love some inspiration to lose weight. I'm about the same size as you and would want to lose the same amount of weight - so hopefully I'll learn something.

  3. Hi Leanne, I followed the link here from Nutracheck. You've inspired me to ressurect my old blog (or at least, dust off the thing and actually start posting). I love food and would love to learn more about growing it - as I'm pretty good at eating it ;) Good luck babe.
